Long Arm Quilting

"It is the quilting that makes the quilt".

It is true.  A successful quilt is one that marries the blocks, borders and colors together so that the sum of 2 +2 equals at least 5!
I love to go to quilt shows and admire the quilting.  I try to absorb all of the skill and workmanship of every quilt I see.

But, long arm quilting is often unaffordable.  After spending $100 -$150 on fabric and batting, there just isn't that much left over in our stretched budgets.  With Pinnacle Sewing Service, you can
choose your long arm quilting budget.  Choose between three levels of quilting:
  • Meandering
  • Edge to Edge Long Arm Quilting
  • Creative Quilt Design
Each level of service will provide long arm quilting that will enhance the beauty of your pieced or appliqued quilt.

Simple Meandering

Simple Meandering in a free flowing overall design of curves.  Consider choosing simple meandering for your quilt to:
  • Maintain the least expensive budget option.
  • Use on a a quilt that is going to have heavy duty use and washings ( a child's quilt, for example
  • Use on a quilt with fabrics that have a lot of scrappy color and design, where a more complex machine quilting design will not show through
  • Use on charity quilts
Simple Meandering is the most economic of designs.  I charge $0.018 per square inch.  It is easy to calculate exactly how much your quilting will cost.  Simply measure the finished length and width of your quilt.  Say your quilt measures 60 inches wide and 72 inches long.
  1. Multiple the length by the width.  In our quilt example you would multiply 60 x 72 = 4320.
  2. Multiple that sum by 0.018.  The example would be 4320 x 0.018 = $77.76.  That would be the price of quilting your quilt!   Iit is that simple and it is that economic!

Edge to Edge Long Arm Designs

Edge to Edge Machine Quilting encompasses three techniques:
  1. Freehand all over designs such as hearts, flowers, leaves, etc. or
  2. Pantograph designs, or
  3. Pattern board designs.

Edge to Edge Machine quilting is economically priced at $0.020 per square inch.  So if we use our 60 x 72" sample quilt to calculate an Edge to Edge design, the cost to quilt it will be $86.40.   Choose Edge to Edge Machine quilting to:
  • Enhance a theme of your quilt.  For example,on  a quilt that uses fabrics that features coffee mugs, I used a coffee mug pantograph.
  • Add quilting that will enhance the overall appearance of the quilt
  • Make your quilt more unique and distinct
Edge to Edge designs are the most popular choice of my customers.  I have many designs to choose from and will even make custom pantograph designs.

Creative Long Arm Design

Creative Long arm design is any design that stencils or rulers, is closely quilted or is a method where I develop a unique and creative pattern to enhance individual blocks and the quilt.  Creative Quilting designs cost $0.025 per square inch.  So our sample 60 x 72" quilt would cost $108.  Choose this type of quilting to:
  • Create a beautiful and distinctive quilting design that greatly enhances your quilt
  • Create an heirloom quilt that you and your family will treasure
  • Create a quilt that your children will fight over when you are gone!
  • Enhance printed panel wall hangings
