Time to Sign Up for Winter Sewing and Quilting Classes
|
The Holidays are over, the Christmas decorations are put away, and we are all back at work. There is heavy snow and cold in the forecast. It is time to sew up for a fun sewing or quilting class to get through the dreary months of winter. I have just what you need - great projects to work on, fun classes to take, and a way to meet other creative people just like you!
Quilt in a Day Radiant Star Quilt

The Radiant Star also known as the Lone Star, Texas Star and Star of Bethlehem, has long been a favorite amont quilt lovers. The class features Eleanor Burns' many tips and tricks that make sewing this quilt fun and easy. Particiants may choose from seven different sizes, from wall hanging to King. All the quilts are strip pieced, with techniques to help avoid the dreaded "volcano" in the center. Participants should have experience with rotary cutting and sewing accurate 1/4" seams. Participants can expect to complete smaller quilts during the class with some work done at home; those that choose queen or king sized quilts may need extra time. Students must have a sewing machine in good working order, 24" x 36" cutting mat with 45 degree line, 6 x 24" ruler, rotary cutter, scissors, pins, thread, marking pencil, fabric to make quilt.
Wednesday February 15 (miss 22, ), 29, March 7 and 14th. 6 - 9 PM
Darby High School Room 153
The course is $24. Books may be purchased at Pinnacle Sewing Service for $18 ahead of the class. This will give you time to purchase the fabrics before class starts.
